Evo 8 Maintenance Schedule
Evo 8’s are as good as the owner’s upkeep. You won’t be blamed if your owner’s manual has been long lost. We don’t judge =). Right here, we’ll let you know when it’s time to service your ride, take it in to the doctor, or have a friend help you service it.

3,750 miles (every)/every 4 months - Note: This leans towards the car being driven under severe conditions only, such as driving on dusty/rough/muddy/salted roads, car constantly being idle while running, excessive usage of the brakes, and driving in heavy traffic in 90+ degree weather over 50% of the time. Get all tires rotated and inspect disc brake pads (and rotors) for any sign(s) of wear, check the suspension system for any damage and looseness, and examine the drive shaft boots for any damage and leakage.
If you don’t overwork your car, or drive it under severe conditions, then get all of that accomplished every 5,000 miles or 5 months.

15,000 miles (every)/every 15 months - Time to replace that air cleaner filter! This is also the point at which the ball joint and steering linkage seals and brake hoses get inspected for any damage, wear, and leakage. If your using the Evo 8 severely, then get the manual transaxle and transfer oil changed in the same increments of mileage or every 16 months. Whichever comes first. Same for the air clean filter.

30,000 miles (every)/every 30 months - Check the entire fuel system (tank, pipe line, pipe line connection, and fuel tank filler tube cap) for any leakage, check the condition of the fuel hoses, check the condition of all driving belts (generator, water pump, and power steering oil pump), get the entire exhaust system ((connections on muffler, muffler pipes, muffler converter, and heat shields) checked, check manual transaxle and transfer oil levels, change engine coolant, and change the rear axle oil. Service the exhaust system and change the manual transaxle and transfer oils if needed.

Note: This leans towards the car being driven under severe conditions only, such as driving on dusty/rough/muddy/salted roads, car constantly being idle while running, excessive usage of the brakes, and driving in heavy traffic in 90+ degree weather over 50% of the time.
