Braided Clutch Line / Restrictor Removal
As most DSM owners already know, Mitsubishi utilizes a section of rubber hose to connect the clutch master cylinder to the release cylinder. While the flexible nature is necessary to allow movement with engine torque (which is why it can't be replaced simply with hard brake line), it also expands under pressure, which causes inconsistent clutch engagement. Shifter Bushing Install
Upgrading the stock rubber shifter bracket bushings to polyurethane or metal versions will reduce "play" in the shifter bracket, which will result in more direct and more accurate shifts. This is a cheap and easy modification that will produce noticeable results. Want your Evo X to have more accurate and direct shifts? Then get a hold of new shifter bushings! Theyíre fairly easy to install, and are cost-efficient. The modification will be noticeable, and become maximized when combining it with a braided stainless steel clutch line and clutch restrictor removal.
