The AEM adjustable fuel pressure regulator features 6061 T-6 aluminum construction just like the AEM fuel rail. The regulator allows adjustment from 20 PSI of rail pressure all the way to the max that your pump will flow and has a 1:1 rising rate ratio, identical to the stock FPR. This regulator has two 9/16-18 inlets and one 9/16-18 outlet, which can accept -6 or -8 AN lines using the respective adapter fittings (not included). There is also a 1/8 NPT outlet to accommodate a fuel pressure gauge and the FPR may be mounted remotely from the rail using the supplied bracket and screws or directly to the rail.
Keeping with AEMs attention to detail, this FPR includes three orifices which may be changed to suit your fuel pump. With extremely large volume fuel pumps, the volume maybe be more than the return can handle, causing pressure spikes on deceleration or even causing a higher minimum rail pressure, both of which can cause unstable idle or momentary rich conditions on shifts. By using a larger orifice, more fuel can be returned to the tank for high vacuum situations to avoid these high rail pressure situations when using large pumps. A very nice inclusion!
